Network Marketing MLM Multi Level Marketing Facts
Network marketing mlm multi level
known as” MLM “has been around a long time, and is a booming billion dollar business. I’m going to attempt to be unbiased here because I have first hand experience in multi-level marketing. If you are thinking about signing up to an MLM company and not sure what to expect, read on and I’ll tell you my experience with it.
Network Marketing MLM Multi level and if You Are New To It-What to Expect
I spent almost 4 years of my life trying to make MLM work for me, but after trying 2 different companies and big expectations and not making a dime I realized this type of business was not for me. I won’t name the two companies, but lets just say that they are network marketing mlm multi level- multi million dollar companies, one sells vitamins and supplements and the other sells alternative “safe green” products as well as vitamins. (note:recurring theme with the whole vitamin thing with these companies).
I’m sure you have already Googled some MLM companies researching if this is a path you should take, and you probably read some horror stories about peoples experience with network marketing mlm multi level marketing. Well, the truth is that the horror stories out weigh the positive ones unfortunately. My story is not one of the positive ones but it’s not a horror story either. Let’s say that I learned a valuable lesson from it and luckily I didn’t go bankrupt from it. Some people aren’t so lucky because they lose so much money they never recover from it and that is absolutely terrible.
Network marketing mlm multi level facts
These are actual facts in terms of numbers and who is making money with MLM and who isn’t.
99.69% is the average percentage of all network marketing mlm multi level participants who lose money(spend more than they receive)
0.08% is around the average number who profit after expenses.
Obviously these are dismal numbers and seem to be consistent year in and year out, so only a small percentage of people barely make a profit and break even while the majority lose money.
There are two aspects of MLM, one being the selling of physical type products like the vitamins and the other is the recruiting of others to join the business. Many MLM companies have a policy that if you join them you are required to buy a certain amount of product every month. If you don’t place an order or forget to, the company may have an auto shipment that automatically deducts from your credit card or bank account and sends you your monthly products whether you want them or not.
The recruitment part of it is usually where the compensation part comes in. To learn all about how this works check out MLM-The Truth.
The first major problem I had with network marketing mlm multi level was that even though it was suppose to be my own business it felt more like I was working for another lame corporation. The one MLM recruiter or “coach” as they are called insisted that I call him every single day even if I had nothing new to say. Apparently the view of the company was that if you are not talking to your coach or mentor every single day then something is wrong. I thought that that was a little cult-like thinking and when I didn’t call because I was busy or not even home, my coach would call several times and leave paranoid messages on the answering machine. This was one odd thing out of a few I saw all the time.
Problem number 2 was a big one as well. After getting all set up and ready to make money my inexperienced mind didn’t account for the fact that I needed customers and a lead list to make it to mlm success. The one companies answer to that question was to go after my “warm market first” which basically means, go and obligate and alienate your friends and family. This as you can imagine was not only uncomfortable but also not even feasible because most friends and family want nothing to do with MLM whatsoever. To them MLM means pyramid scheme, hence”scam”.
Problem number 3 was an ethical issue. When I was trying to convince someone that they could have their own profitable business I could tell by talking to them they were excited to think that they would soon be financially free and that all their money worries would soon disappear if they signed up. As I would read off the script that I was told to use for recruiting people I would get a sick feeling because I realized this person I was talking to was willing to trust me and that they needed something to get them out of whatever situation they were dealing with in their lives. If I was successful at talking them into joining I would feel depressed once I hung up the phone because now they were under the impression that they were on the right track, but I knew they weren’t.Basically my conscience got the best of me and I’m glad it did.
Now on a positive note, network marketing mlm multi level did do one thing for me that I don’t regret and that is the learning experience and wisdom I gained from it. Being that I went through it twice, I can report honestly and accurately on how it really is because most of these MLM companies use the same type of business model it appears and the same tactics with maybe a little different spin on the way they sell themselves. Bottom line is, if you are looking to sign up with network marketing mlm multi level business opportunity do a lot of research first. Check them out because chances are you will likely not see a dime of profit if anything at all for a long time.
